About Payal Nrityalaya
Payal Nrityalaya was established by Guru Payal Gokhale in 2007 under Payal Nrityalaya Charitable Foundation. The main aim of founding this was to make good quality kathak education available to more and more people in PCMC area. The intention was to make people aware and educate them of this traditional artform.
Payal Nrityalaya focuses on practical as well as theoretical knowledge of Kathak. Here the students receive learnings with care and love and are prepared for Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Exams. They get regular practices along with mock tests prior to exams. Students are exposed to stage performances which help them build confidence.

This artform helps in overall growth in terms of fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. When started at young age this helps build outstanding personality.

Payal Nrityalaya organises various workshops, events as well as lecture demonstrations.
Payal Nrityalaya conducts regular Kathak program called ' Abhivyakti', where every student gets an opportunity and stage to exhibit their skill. Students are encouraged to participate in various competitions all over the country and have been winning multiple prizes. In 2024, a troupe of students of Payal Nrityalaya got an opportunity to perform on Rajpath on the occasion of Republic Day Parade which was a very proud moment for all of us.

Students of Payal Nrityalaya have performed in various meritorious festivals like, Swar Sagar Festival, Moraya Gosavi Festival, Kala Dhoran Festival, Pune festival, Pimpri chinchwad Festival.​ 36 disciples of Payal Nrityalaya have also been part of Nrutyotsav, Nrutyavandana, Nritychakra, Krushnarpan.
Along with promoting dance, Payal Nrityalaya also organises yearly donation drives, plastic collection drives, blood donation camps and a lot more for social welfare.
